It’s the fourth Dawn of Fire book! After the defiance of the Space Wolves in The Wolftime and the cliffhanger in Gate of Bones, where will Throne of Light by Guy Haley take us? It turns out it’s…nowhere? Hold on to your hats for this one. Or don’t. It’s not like we (or the book) are going anywhere fast.
For a book that read very quickly and appeared to have a lot of moving pieces, it didn’t seem to really get anywhere. At least we had some fun with Lucerne and learning more about his integration with the Black Templars?
Next up is a jaunt to the side of Chaos and Traitor Marines. More specifically, Huron Blackheart: Master of the Maelstrom formerly of the Astral Claws. You may remember them from other books with the Carcharodons, including Red Tithe and Outer Dark. Since it’s written by Mike Brooks, we expect it to be a lot of fun.
