Hey we’re finally here to talk Pilgrims of Fire by Justin D. Hill. It’s a long story as to why we’re just now getting to this, and you’ll have to watch/listen to find out why! Regardless, we read the book, prepped talking points, and had a grand old time discussing it.
Would you believe that we BOTH really liked this book? Yes, even I really enjoyed a book about the Sisters of Battle! No, Hell hasn’t frozen over. At least it hasn’t as far as I know…
We had a great talk about this novel, and we even dove into a bit why no one else seems to like it. As surprising as it is that we both liked it, it equally surprised us at how many people seem to NOT like it. Reverse Requiem Infernal effect, maybe?
Next up is Leviathan by Darius Hinks. It’s our first book club novel by Darius! I’ve read his Mephiston books, but this is the first book of his that both of us agreed to read. Although, we have to wonder why this next one is about the tyranids. I thought we left that party. But I guess there ain’t no party like a tyranids party because a tyranids party don’t stop.
The Pilgrims of Fire by Justin D. Hill vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!
Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
