We’re finally done with the Ahriman trilogy by John French with Ahriman: Unchanged. It’s all led up to this point, where he’s going to fix the Rubricae. Or something? But we already know he doesn’t and he can’t, so how well will this all go?
Well. We were less than amused. Apologies, because we both got a little incensed this round. We’re kind of fearful for Ahriman: Eternal now. We…might need a break from John French in general, actually. Just going on ahead and dropping the spoiler that we did not like this book. If you’re still interested in our, uh, rant about it, check out the full vid- and podcast posted below!
We’re so excited to have a brand new book, and it’s in the Warhammer Crime series! If you listened to the audio drama “Dredge Runners” by Alec Worley, then you’ll be as stoked as we are to read The Wraithbone Phoenix also by Alec Worley. If you haven’t listened to the audio drama, please do that first. You’re in for a treat. We’re also really excited to read a Warhammer Crime story that isn’t from the perspective of sanctioners and probaters! Besides, it’s not like those on the side of the Lex are that much cleaner than the criminals of Varangantua. This is gonna be good.
The Ahriman: Unchanged by John French vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!
Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
