WH40k Book Club Episode #80 – Kharn: Eater of Worlds by Anthony Reynolds

We’re just all aboard the wayback train, especially the Traitor Marines car. Last book was Ahriman: Sorcerer, and now we’re reading Kharn: Eater of Worlds by Anthony Reynolds. This book is another oldie that received the Limited Edition treatment, just like Storm of Iron. Evidently Nightbringer is getting similar treatment, so just buckle yourselves in for that future voxcast. Just dropping a friendly warning.

But yes, on to Kharn! Kharn takes place shortly after the end of the Horus Heresy, and right before the infamous massacre at Skalathrax. Therefore, it before Kharn becomes the Khorne berzerker we all know and, uh, love. Out of fear. Because he’s terrifying.

Next up, we have something new! And it’s new new. The last book of the Vaults of Terra is now out, The Dark City. Last time, Inquisitor Erasmus Crowl abandoned his Interrogator for throwing a party and wrecking his home in his absence. So now it’s Spinoza vs the Throne World? That’s gonna have great odds, I’m sure.

The Kharn: Eater of Worlds by Anthony Reynolds vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
