It’s been a spell since we sat down with Ahriman, hasn’t it? We didn’t have much motivation to read the series at the time as we were still burned from the Summer of Bill, plus a lot of good books came out. Now that we’ve been in a slight lull and Ahriman: Eternal released, it’s time we got back to seeing what this unlucky sorcerer effs up next in the name of doing good. When you join the Thousand Sons, do you have to solemnly swear to try to do good?
We were both lukewarm with Ahriman: Exile, but how did Ahriman: Sorcerer treat us. One of us liked it, one of us did not. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out which is which before diving into the podcast.
Next up, everything old is new again! The Black Library decided to re-release Kharn: Eater of Worlds by Anthony Reynolds, this time in a pretty, pretty LE cover. They did this before, if you remember, with Storm of Iron. Neither of us have read this book about Kharn, and it should be a good time. Well, at least as much of a good time as an avatar of Khorne can make it a good time. Maybe I should have said it should be a bloody good time?
The Ahriman: Sorcerer by John French vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!
Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
