WH40k Book Club Episode #31 – Lukas the Trickster by Josh Reynolds

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

We had to interrupt our adventures of The Horusian Wars to turn attention to Josh Reynolds’ bibliography, as we only recently learned he is no longer with the Black Library. We already have Fabius Bile: Manflayer on order, so we turned to an older book of his. Enter Lukas the Trickster.

Here is another book we were divided on. Can you predict which of us liked it and which of us did not? Either way, we had a good time discussing the Strifeson of the Space Wolves. Also, we had fun with the dark eldar? Only Josh Reynolds could make such a thing possible. We are really going to miss him, especially now knowing there will most likely never be a sequel.

We’re returning to John French’s Horusian Wars next week with Incarnation! We can’t wait to see what happens to Covenant and his merry little band.

The Lukas the Trickster by Josh Reynolds vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, and Spotify! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review! If you haven’t bought the book yet, better do that before giving a listen! Don’t forget, we are also on Patreon! We have two tiers of unique content for your listening pleasure for only a few bucks a month. We appreciate your love and support regardless of becoming a patron.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
