Told you we’d be back in a week! And here we are, with Hive Part 2 by Dan Abnett, a/k/a where all of the plot happens a/k/a where we flush down all of the plot points we’ve built up from Part 1 in the name of genestealers. Genestealers. Why did it have to be genestealers.
If you’ve guessed we were not impressed, you guessed correctly. We dissect every part of Part 2 and dig into how this book could have been made ten times better. There’s a lot of good in here that is buried with poor planning and execution.
Next up is a much lighter book, Veterans of the Fall by William Crowe. Astra Miliatarum novels are always nice palate cleaners
