WH40k Book Club Episode #173 – Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords by Denny Flowers

Grotsnik: Da Mad Dok by Denny Flowers was a really good time, and as such, expectations were high for Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords. Fortunately for us, Flowers did not disappoint. In fact, has he ever really disappointed us? I don’t think so.

I know there are no Ultramarines in this book, but this was too perfect to NOT use.

This was one chaotic book, especially without the literal presence of Chaos. Ork hilarity, espionage, assassination attempts, Grotsnik shenanigans, Black Templar zeal, planetary ignorance…this book really had it all. Of course, while I’m posting this, I’m kind of mad we forgot to talk about the actual Knights of Gabal and the ending. Holy cow, that’s a misstep on our part.

Next up is Aestred Thurga: Pyre of Faith by Danie Ware. Versions other than the Limited Edition are finally available, and therefore, we can finally read it for all of you. Danie Ware does great with the Sisters, and I know I say this all the time, but, hopes are high.

The Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords by Denny Flowers episode is on YouTube, Spotify, and Rumble. Of course you can still find the audio podcast on Apple Podcasts and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts. If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
