WH40k Book Club Episode #17 – War of Secrets by Phil Kelly

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

We have wondered how the Dark Angels would react to Primaris Marines. The Dark Angels Chapter is the most secretive Chapter in all of the loyalist legions, and surely they will have a big problem with having a new breed of Marines thrust upon them. Thanks to War of Secrets by Phil Kelly, we now know exactly how they reacted, and it’s worse than either of us thought. It’s worse, and yet it’s so Dark Angels.

Jen has never liked the Dark Angels, and I have this weird draw to them. Despite this difference though, we both really enjoyed this book and loved discussing what this means for the Post-Rift WH40k.

Next book, we’re appeasing our favorite Random Imperial Citizen and diving into Chris Wraight’s Vaults of Terra: The Carrion Throne. He’s fast becoming one of our favorite authors, and we have to wonder if he’s worried about the Adeptus Custodes. He seems to like giving them friends.

The War of Secrets by Phil Kelly vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and NOW Spotify! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
