WH40k Book Club Episode #16 – Belisarius Cawl: the Great Work by Guy Haley

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Belisarius Cawl by Guy Haley was another title that hit our must-read list as soon as Black Library announced. It was one of the few times we texted each other within seconds of the email announcement, screaming in all caps OMG WE NEED THIS! After Roboute Guilliman’s little conversation with Cawl Inferior, we had to know what Cawl is really up to.

This book surprised us with so many of its lore additions and the various plots wound within plots. What does this all mean for the future of Warhammer 40,000? Will Guy Haley keep changing everything in this universe? And why are we so silly this episode?

Next book, we’re moving right along in the Space Marines Conquests series with War of Secrets by Phil Kelly. So what are the Dark Angels up to? How are they handling the Primaris Marines? This will be fun to be sure.
