Back from vacation, and back from Peter Fehervari’s Dark Coil. After the unexpected joyride of Fire Caste, we were eager to learn more about how Fehervari’s Dark Coil progressed in this omnibus, which includes a few short stories, a novella, and the novel Cult of the Spiral Dawn.
If anyone is curious, the word “coil” and any conjugations thereof was mentioned throughout the collection (not including the title page) 83 times. Spiral, however, got a whopping 240 mentions. I wish I could say that most of those were just from mentioning the Spiral Dawn, but alas, that was not the case. It was kind of amazing.
We do break down all of the content in the rest of the omnibus, and that’s the only spoiler you all will get before viewing/listening.
We’re kind of staying in the Wayback Machine for the next book, although this book was recently republished as an anniversary edition. If you guessed Fifteen Hours by Mitchel Scanlon, you would be right!
