WH40k Book Club Episode #129 – Lelith Hesperax: Queen of Knives by Mike Brooks

Let’s get this all out in the open. Neither of us have liked the drukhari fka dark eldar. However, with Mike Brooks writing a book about a famous one, we had high hopes that we would at the very least like the book. We may still not like the drukhari, but hey, at least the book was good, right? Alas, it was not meant to be for us with Lelith Hesperax: Queen of Knives.

We wanted to like this book, but neither of us could. We know many readers did really enjoy it, so just bear with us? Maybe?

Our next book might be just as rough, but at least it’s also new! Next up is Ahriman: Undying by John French. What on earth is this guy up to now? He has no friends, no brothers, and no real hope for finding the Black Library. What is left for this character? Guess we’ll find out.

The Lelith Hesperax: Queen of Knives by Mike Brooks vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
