WH40k Book Club Episode #120 – Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster

We’ve read a Dark Angels book that had Primaris Marines, but we haven’t had one that featured an OG Dark Angel crossing the Rubicon. Thanks to Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster, now we do. AND HOO BOY was this fun. Even Jen, who strongly dislikes the Dark Angels, enjoyed this book.

We’re not sure which we liked more, Lazarus confronting Azrael over the Fallen or Lazarus learning the true meaning of a Caliban Christmas while fighting Demogorgons.

So the next book isn’t a new new book, but it’s a reprint and new to us, Lord of the Night by Simon Spurrier. Yes, it’s another Night Lords book, but it’s somehow a Night Lords book that Jen has never read. And apparently it was a big inspiration for ADB when writing his Night Lords trilogy.

The Lazarus: Enmity’s Edge by Gary Kloster vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
