WH40k Book Club #35 – Indomitus

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Jen and I were so incredibly excited to snag the Limited Edition version of Indomitus by Gav Thorpe. We were on vacation together with our families, and we purposely delayed beach time just so we could ensure our preorders. This is how we roll, folks. We’ve even had trouble not petting our copies. Seriously, these are books you have to FEEL to believe. But then we read them.

Well, Indomitus is not the Gav Thorpe we know and love. We have so many questions, so many disappointments, and yet we did find those hidden nuggets of joy tucked within. This is definitely one of those episodes where we answered a lot of our own questions by discussing them out loud. We may not have loved the book, but a great discussion came out of it!

Our next book is Bloodlines by Chris Wraight. Both of us have been stoked for the Warhammer Crime series, and Chris Wraight kicking it off couldn’t be more perfect. And another one was recently announced by Gee Haley! Glee!

The Indomitus by Gav Thorpe vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, and Spotify! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review! If you haven’t bought the book yet, better do that before giving a listen! Don’t forget, we are also on Patreon! We have two tiers of unique content for your listening pleasure for only a few bucks a month. We appreciate your love and support regardless of becoming a patron.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
