After the HEAVY feast that was The Fall of Cadia, it’s nice to follow up with a light and fun dessert. That dessert is, of course, a new Ciaphas Cain novel—Vainglorious by Sandy Mitchell. We’re so glad Mitchell continues to write Cain. We were initially disappointed that this doesn’t take place post-rift—because seriously, we want him to run into Robby Bobby—but hey, the Reclaimers are back in action, and that’s always a good thing.
Cain has been sent to Eucopia for what appears to be a simple manufacturing inspection mission. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Ciaphas Cain story if a simple mission didn’t go horribly awry. These books are such WH40k candy. They’re amazing.
Next up is our new Christmas tradition, a new Da Red Gobbo story! New writer Ruairidh James has the next entry, Da Gobbo Rides Again.
