We did originally have Vainglorious on the docket for our next book, but many viewers/readers/listeners begged us to move Genefather by Guy Haley up the list. As much as we both want to read another Ciaphas Cain novel, who are we to ignore the adoring public? We both jumped into Genefather with high expectations. After all, so many people said this would definitely be our book of the year.
We definitely liked the book, but we didn’t have as much enthusiasm as we hoped.
Very curious where Cawl’s story is going to go next, as well was what Fabulous Bill does next. We also can’t wait to see what Guilliman does when he learns about a few things Cawl has done. Them crazy mad scientists, yo.
Next up is the VERY beefy The Fall of Cadia by Robert Rath. Just jumping from one Creed to the next.
