We jumped all the way back into the wayback machine for War of the Fang by Chris Wraight, mostly thanks to the Black Library publishing a Limited Edition version of the book. We have no idea why they chose to republish this one, but the book is gorgeous so we obliged. It’s all for you, glorious readers/viewers/listeners.
And when we say the wayback machine, we mean it in more than one arena. The book was originally published back in 2011, but also, the book takes place in M32, not long after the Horus Heresy. It’s been a thousand years, but surely the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons have better things to do than continue a grudge match, right?
So this was a bit of a two-for-one special with the novella The Hunt for Magnus and the full novel Battle of the Fang. However, we can’t imagine these books even being separate, they’re so entwined. And believe it or not, Jen and Keri actually AGREED on the fate of the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons. I know. We’re still in shock too.
Next up is a new book, Wrath of the Lost by Chris Forrester. It’s the Edge Lord Blood Angels, out to take back their homeworld that was referenced in another Space Marine Battles book. Is there a pattern here?
The War of the Fang by Chris Wraight vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts! If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!
Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
