WH40k Book Club Episode #42.5 – 2020 Book Club Awards

We know that Darkness in the Blood by Gee Haley is in the queue, but it’s the end of the year! That means we give out arbitrary awards for the books we enjoyed reading in 2020. This year we had 23 books in total, so picking the awards for each of us proved to be a little difficult. But in the end, we persevered, and we happily present to you our 2020 WH40k Book Club Awards. Remember, these Book Club Awards are not based upon all of the WH40k books that published this year, but the books we read for the Book Club this year. We read some books and short stories for our Patreon episodes, but we did not include these.

Which books won the coveted golden book aquila? Oh we had so many opinions.

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
