WH40k Book Club Episode #20 – Lords of Silence by Chris Wraight

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Our favorite Random Imperial Citizen has been on our case since nearly day one, demanding we read Lords of Silence by Chris Wraight. I one hundred percent admit I was the one dragging my feet on it. I’ve had an aversion to the Death Guard ever since we started reading the Dark Imperium. Jen was cool with reading it because she likes Chaos, and so far, our RIC hasn’t led us astray yet so I caved. Well. We must thank you again, Random Imperial Citizen.

This was an amazing way to kick off our 2020 Book Club season. And yet, we’re afraid it has raised the bar too high for the rest of the year.

Next up is Rites of Passage by Mike Brooks. We’re moving away from Spess Marines to look at the sanctioned mutants of the Imperium—the astropaths. We’re already feeling sorry for it that it has such a tough act to follow.

The Lords of Silence by Chris Wraight vidcast is, of course, on YouTube, and the podcast is on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Spotify! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
