The Character Series as a whole has been a bit hit or miss for us, but one about Bjorn, the greatest Dreadnought in WH40k history, should be a slam dunk. Unfortunately, Bjorn: The Fell-Handed by Justin D. Hill contained both hits and misses. We understand what this book was trying to do, but, in keeping with the basketball comparison, it rolled around the rim for far too long before falling outside of the basket.
What we liked, we LIKED. What we didn’t like, well, you get the idea.
Next up is another novel in the Character Series, but this time it’s in the Horus Heresy era, Raldoron: Revenant by Guy Haley. Surely this one will have more impact than the last entry, right?
