WH40k Book Club Episode #181 – The Wicked and the Warped by Robert Rath

We generally don’t like the Necrons, but there is a special place in our hearts for Trazyn and Orikan. It’s been very clear in subsequent books of his that Rath really enjoys writing about Trazyn as well, but we weren’t sure that would mean we’d get a sequel to The Infinite and the Divine. It’s been six years, which shocks me to learn as writing this. Where has time gone? I bet Orikan has the answer. He finds some answers about time in the latest book about this duo from Robert Rath, The Wicked and the Warped.

The big question is, can the sequel live up to original? Is Rath able to knock it out of the park one more time? If you know us, you already know the answer.

Next up is a new entry in the Character Series, Bjorn: The Fell-Handed by Justin D. Hill. We like Bjorn, and he’s one of the few Space Wolves I can personally stomach. But the pressure is on for Hill, as he has to go up against other amazing writers of this beloved character such as Chris Wraight and Aaron Dembski-Bowden.

The Wicked and the Warped by Robert Rath episode is on YouTube, Spotify, and Rumble. Of course you can still find the audio podcast on Apple Podcasts and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts. If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
