WH40k Book Club Episode #172 – Chem Dog by Callum Davis

Our Discord group hyped up Chem Dog by Callum Davis, which naturally made us cautiously optimistic. After all, how many books have released that fans have hyped up and we didn’t like? The answer is a lot, unfortunately. Would this one fall in the same pattern? Thankfully, the answer is a resounding no, and we enjoyed the heck out of it.

The episode is a bit short and sweet, because we got in, got out, and didn’t mess about for once on this podcast. You’re all welcome.

Next up is Warlord of Warlords by Denny Flowers. Grotsnik: Da Mad Dok was fantastic, so yes, hopes are high for Flowers’ take on Ghazghkull Thraka. Also, the amazing narrator from the audio version of Da Mad Dok narrates this one, which pretty much means that the audiobook is required listening.

The Chem Dog by Callum Davis episode is on YouTube, Spotify, and Rumble. Of course you can still find the audio podcast on Apple Podcasts and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts. If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
