Neither one of us were super excited to read Leontus: Lord Solar by Rob Young. The Character series for WH40k and the Horus Heresy have been fairly hit or miss with us. But we do like a good Astra Militarum story, and we really liked Longshot, so perhaps we’ll enjoy this one as well?
We really shouldn’t have worried. Both of us were were glued to the book soon after opening.
The orks continue to be the most terrifying and hilarious xenos faction in WH40k. Couldn’t think of a better enemy to pit the Lord Solar against when it comes to certain doom.
Next book goes back to the Wayback Machine quite a bit, but we need it before we jump to Interceptor City. Yes, I’m talking about Double Eagle by Dan Abnett, the book that Jen hasn’t stopped talking about since I’ve known her.
