WH40k Book Club Episode #134 – Oaths of Damnation by Robbie MacNiven

We purposely waited for Halloween time to read Oaths of Damnation by Robbie MacNiven. Neither of us had heard of the Exorcists Chapter before, but the idea of a Chapter of Space Marines that willingly accepts daemon possession for their initiation rites sounded pretty spooky to us. Throw in the Word Bearers into the mix and an initiation rite gone horribly wrong, like akin to The Watcher in the Woods wrong, we’re all in.

Is it possible that it’s the duty of Robbie MacNiven to write about the horrific unknown Chapters of the Loyalist Space Marines? Because if so, we are down for it.

Next up, due to the polls we had on YouTube and X, will be Morvenn Vahl: Spear of Faith by Jude Reid. After that, we pretty much have the rest of 2024 planned out. How is it the end of the year already?

The Oaths of Damnation by Robbie MacNiven vidcast is on YouTube and now Spotify! Of course you can still find the audio podcast on Apple Podcasts and virtually anywhere else you can find podcasts. If you haven’t read the book yet, better do that before you listen! If you like us, please subscribe or even leave a review!

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.

Keri

It was all thanks to a little game called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine that alerted Keri to the intricate world of WH40K. She's not into tabletop gaming, but she loves extended lore. After getting through just one omnibus, it was all downhill from there. She can't leave the local Citadel without $150 in books.
