Neither one of us was looking forward to Renegades: Lord of Excess by Rich McCormick. While it’s cool to get another Renegades book, why is it the Emperor’s Children of all Legions? I mean, EW.
However, we were pleasantly surprised with this book despite the fact it’s about Emperor’s Children. McCormick didn’t turn us into EC fans, but managed to make a story with them appeal even to us.
We have yet another new book to read for next time, Deathworlder by Victoria Hayward. More ‘Nids! But this time it’s with the Catachan, which always promises to be a good time.
