Dawn of Fire: Sea of Souls is in the queue, but it’s the end of the year! That means we give out arbitrary awards for the books we enjoyed reading in 2023. This year we didn’t plow through as many books as we have in past years, but we’re pretty sure we read more pages than last year. Some books this year were massive whoppers! (We’re looking at you, The Fall of Cadia.) We struggled picking the best of this year’s batch, but we did persevere and are happy to present the WH40k Book Club Awards for 2023. Remember, these Book Club Awards are not based upon all of the WH40k books that published this year, but the books we read for the Book Club this year.
Which books won the coveted golden book aquila of 2023? Oh we had so many opinions.
Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
