We have greatly enjoyed the Astra Militarum series, and Longshot by Rob Young raised the bar yet again. I feel like we’ve said this a lot for 2023, but we have yet another contender for our WH40k book of the year. And it’s a book about Cadians with chips on their shoulders and the t’au. Who knew we would like it so much?
Next up is The Rose in Darkness by Danie Ware. We’re excited to read about the Order of the Bloody Rose—which just is a badass name—and yet hesitant because we weren’t huge fans of The Triumph of Saint Katherine. However, her novella about the Order in The Book of Martyrs was great, so we have faith. The Sisters would want us to.

Each episode will be in a traditional book club format. We will read one mutually agreed upon book to discuss at the club meeting aka podcast. Sometimes we will read brand new books, sometimes we will read old books, but there will be a method to our madness as to why.
